BLG sweep Hanwha Life 2-0 in the last Worlds Swiss match

Bilibili Gaming knocked Hanwha Life Esports out 2-0 on Saturday, Oct 31, in the last match of the Worlds Swiss stage in Allen. Sheep Esports said the MSI champions are the first to miss the Worlds playoffs in the same year.

How the match turned

Hanwha Life held a slight lead for much of game one, until Bilibili Gaming turned it after more than 40 minutes, with Park “Viper” Do-hyeon leading the way on Ezreal.

For Hanwha Life that game was practically a must-win, and their top laner Choi “Zeus” Woo-je said the loss carried into the next one. In game two, Zhuo “Knight” Ding on Locke and Chen “Bin” Ze-bin on Olaf carried Bilibili Gaming through.

From MSI champions to an early exit

In July, Hanwha Life won the MSI final against Bilibili Gaming, so Saturday was the rematch.

Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong won the 2025 Worlds final MVP with T1, and this was his first Worlds with Hanwha Life. His tournament ended before the quarterfinals, while T1 are still in.

Zeus on what went wrong

Zeus told Sheep Esports:

Looking back at the games we lost, rather than aiming for coordinated, planned plays, we ended up resorting to individual plays much more often, which caused a repeated bad cycle.
