Frequently asked questions about Rocket League
What is RLCS?
The Rocket League Championship Series is Psyonix and Epic's official competitive circuit. It runs across six regions – North America, Europe, Oceania, Middle East/North Africa, South America, and APAC. Regional Splits feed into international Majors and a year-end World Championship. The open-qualifier system means anyone can theoretically break through; that creates the underdog stories the community loves.
How does qualification work?
Open qualifiers feed regional events; top regional finishers earn points and seeding for the international Majors held mid-season. The RLCS World Championship gathers the top eight regional qualifiers from each region for a single-elimination Bo5/Bo7 bracket.
Where do I find replays?
ballchasing.com hosts community-uploaded replays for almost every RLCS match – full game files you can load into the Rocket League client and rewatch from any player's perspective. The official RocketLeague YouTube channel uploads VODs of major events within hours of broadcast end.
How long is a Rocket League series?
Open Qualifier matches are typically Bo5, Regional events use Bo5 group stages and Bo7 playoffs, and Major / Worlds grand finals are Bo7. Each game is 5 minutes of regulation with sudden-death overtime if tied – short, intense, with the storyline often shifting in the last 30 seconds.
