FURIA defeated Nemiga 3-2 on Saturday, Oct 31, to win PGL Masters Bucharest. It was their second straight title, less than two weeks after the Thunderpick World Championship.
FURIA’s road in Bucharest
FURIA did it the hard way. They scraped into the playoffs in last place, after a loss to Spirit on Monday.
On Friday they knocked out MOUZ in the semifinal, and on Saturday they met Nemiga, who had eliminated Vitality. The best-of-five final went the full five maps before FURIA closed it out.
HLTV named Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis the event MVP, the first of his career.
