BetBoom take down FURIA in Nuke overtime to reach the Beijing semifinals

BetBoom Team won the deciding map, Nuke, in overtime on Friday and knocked FURIA out of IEM Beijing in the quarterfinals. The 2-1 result is BetBoom’s first series win over FURIA in six meetings in our records.

Five losses first

FURIA won the first of those meetings at the Cologne Major in June and the fifth on Oct 29, a 2-0 in the PGL Masters Bucharest playoffs. Our records go back to July 2025.

FURIA were also 3rd in the Valve Regional Standings to BetBoom’s 6th, and they went into the first map as Polymarket’s favorites. The market swung hardest on Nuke, and the audience peaked there too, at 181,589 across the streams we track.

Ahead at the break, three times

BetBoom led at the half on all three maps. On Ancient they did not drop a round after the switch, and FURIA answered on Dust II by turning their half-time deficit into a win on the CT side.

On Nuke FURIA erased their half-time deficit by the end of regulation, and in overtime they won two of the three rounds on the CT side to go one up.

Then BetBoom took all three rounds after the switch, and the series with them.

What’s next for BetBoom
