DarkZero are the first team through the Osaka play-in after a 2-0 win over LOS

The first of Phase 1’s four Swiss stage places at the BLAST R6 Major Osaka went to DarkZero on Friday, Nov 6, when they defeated LOS 2-0 in an upper-bracket semifinal. LOS won one round on attack across the two maps, as many as All Gamers had won on attack against them on Clubhouse earlier that day.

LOS’s pick

LOS attacked first on Nighthaven Labs and took one round before the switch. With DarkZero on attack, LOS held two of the four rounds, but DarkZero won the other two and the map.

DarkZero’s pick

DarkZero picked Bank, a map they had won on Shopify Rebellion’s pick in the Salt Lake City final. On Friday they attacked first on it, and the teams split the six rounds before the switch. DarkZero then won all four rounds on defense.

What’s next for DarkZero

DarkZero open the 16-team Swiss stage with a best-of-one against an opponent not drawn yet, and half of that field goes on to the playoffs.
