Bilibili Gaming end Dplus KIA's unbeaten Worlds run in the quarterfinals

Dplus KIA arrived in the Worlds quarterfinals without a single lost game, and Bilibili Gaming took three in a row from them on Thursday in Allen, Texas. The 3-0 put BLG into the semifinals and knocked out the Esports World Cup champions.

A rematch from Paris

The only earlier meeting in our records was the Esports World Cup quarterfinal in Paris in July. DK won it and went on to take the EWC title.

1. Jul 17, 2026 Esports World Cup 2026 2–1

At Worlds the two teams came out of opposite ends of the Swiss stage. DK, the LCK’s fourth seed, went through on three straight wins, while BLG lost to Movistar KOI and Top Esports and only got through with a 2-0 against Hanwha Life in the final round. Even so, Polymarket listed Dplus KIA at about 42% at kickoff, so BLG went in as the favorite.

Xun on Naafiri, then Trundle

BLG’s jungler Xun was named the series MVP, and game one belonged to his Naafiri. BLG won the Rift Herald teamfight and stacked three dragons, and Xun’s Naafiri even solo-killed DK’s Smash on Corki. Elder Dragon and Baron then closed the game.

BLG took game two as well. In game three, DK jungler Lucid’s dive in the top lane backfired and gave BLG’s Bin a double kill on Jax, and ShowMaker’s Viktor was caught in a BLG ambush. Xun, now on Trundle, kept invading DK’s jungle, and those skirmishes went BLG’s way.

Around 23 minutes, DK’s Pantheon stole the dragon that would have given BLG the Mountain Soul, a buff that lasts the rest of the game. DK lost the fight that followed and gave up Baron, and the gold gap grew past 5,000.

BLG then took the Soul anyway. They drew DK into a fight at Baron and pushed into the base to end the series. All three games ended between 32 and 34 minutes.

What’s next for Bilibili Gaming

BLG play the winner of the last quarterfinal, Karmine Corp against T1, in a best-of-five semifinal, with a place in the final at Barclays Center in New York on the line.
